Progress Report on Plastic Free

WA Plastic Free has launched a pilot program in Bassendean and Bayswater to encourage individuals and food outlets to reduce their use of single use plastics such as plastic bags, takeaway containers, plastic coffee cups, cutlery, straws and other items.

These items are frequently found in rubbish bins and dominate the products in our landfills.

The program, funded by the WA Waste Authority, has been operating for a year.
