Residents will have another opportunity to learn about the Armidale region’s ongoing water restrictions, and measures to save water, by visiting Council’s stand at Culture Fest tomorrow evening.
Council’s water savings stand will be at the Festival Night, in Armidale’s Civic and Curtis Park, from 5.30pm.
“The display will include information about the many ways households and businesses can save water during the current Level 5 water restrictions,” Armidale Regional Council Mayor Simon Murray said.
Council staff will be on hand to answer questions and provide further information. The stand will also include information on the various measures Council is taking to extend the region’s remaining water supplies.
“We had a fantastic response to last Sunday’s National Water Week Expo in Beardy Street Mall, with more than 400 people taking the opportunity to ask questions and look at water saving products,” Councillor Murray said.
“Culture Fest is a wonderful celebration of the many and varied groups in the Armidale region. Our stand at tomorrow night’s event is a valuable part of our attempts to get the water saving message out to as many sections of our community as possible.”
