Extended operating hours at Cooma, Jindabyne landfills

The weekday opening hours of Snowy Monaro Regional Council’s Cooma and Jindabyne landfills have been extended due to increased patronage at each site.
The new operating hours commence from Monday 4 November. There are no changes to the weekend operating hours at either site.
Users of each facility will enjoy more convenient times for disposal, and the change in opening hours will allow Council staff to meet the operational requirements of the NSW EPA Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997.
The new operating hours are:
COOMA LANDFILL Monday to Friday 9:30am – 4:30pm (Commercial waste acceptance ends at 4:00pm) Saturday 1:00pm – 5:00pm Sunday 11:00am – 5:00pm
JINDABYNE LANDFILL Monday to Friday 9:30am – 4:30pm (Commercial waste acceptance ends at 4:00pm) Saturday 10:00am – 3:00pm Sunday 10:00am – 3:00pm
Please be advised there may be times when the landfill disposal area will be closed to the public. During these times you will be directed by staff to dispose of your waste at another suitable location within the landfill site.
