The featured artist at the Centre during November is Ann Hodgkinson. Ann studied art in the UK as part of a teaching qualification. Newly married to a Tasmanian, she emigrated to the North West in 1970. After a career of 44 years (when the students came first), Ann retired to a farmlet in Kindred to finally indulge in gardening and her first love – of painting and drawing. The subjects of Ann’s art are mostly based on personal observations of the plants and animals that surround her.
