With weather conditions improving overnight, Council is in the process of reopening all bushland tracks and trails, including Manly Dam, Manly to North Harbour walk and Stony Range Regional Botanic Gardens from today.

The Emergency Operations Centre at Terrey Hills and Council’s Incident Management Team have now been officially stood down but remain on stand-by in the event of ever changing conditions.

Council is working towards resuming all operations at Currawong and McCarrs Creek Road is now reopened to traffic. Staff are currently assessing the large animal evacuation centres.

Whilst the catastrophic risk is over, the message from the RFS is to remain vigilant, especially as conditions are expected to again worsen as we approach the weekend and into next week.
