Public Notice - Declaration of a Proscribed Brothel at 389 Chandler Road, Keysborough

On 17 October 2019, the Dandenong Magistrates Court declared that the premises at 389 Chandler Road, Keysborough to be a proscribed brothel for a period of twelve (12) months in accordance with Section 80 (1) (B) of the Sex Work Act 1994.
It is an offence under Section 81 B of the Sex Work Act 1994 to be in or found entering or leaving a Proscribed Brothel without lawful excuse, for which a person may be liable to a fine of up to 60 penalty units or imprisonment for 12 months.
It is an offence under Section 81 (3) to cover, remove, deface or destroy a copy of this notice or declaration, for which persons may be liable to a fine of up to 60 penalty units or imprisonment for 6 months.
This Declaration remains in force unless rescinded by the Magistrates’ Court pursuant to Section 84 of the Sex Work Act 1994.
