Isaac Regional Council is inviting feedback from the community for the draft 2020-2023 Isaac Regional Council Biosecurity Plan from today until 29 November.
The feedback is to help establish a pest management direction that is sustainable across the region and promotes shared responsibility and collective ownership of biosecurity risk mitigation.
Council developed the Draft Biosecurity Plan in accordance with the guidelines provided by the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (Biosecurity Queensland), with input from regional stakeholders.
The purpose of the draft 2020-2023 Isaac Regional Council Biosecurity Plan is to minimise biosecurity risk within the area by providing a framework to mitigate the impacts of pest animal and weeds on local biosecurity considerations.
Make your views count and have your say by taking part in the online community engagement survey before 5pm, 29 November 2019 at isaac.qld.gov.au/draft-isaac-region-biosecurity-plan-2020-2023
The Draft Biosecurity Plan is available for download on the link provided above. Hard copies of the draft plan will also be available from local Isaac libraries and staff can assist residents with the completion of the online survey if required.
