'Red Ribbon Mandalas' by Sahil Kitchell

Saturday, November 30, 2019, 5:30 – 10pm In acknowledgement of this year’s World AIDS Day, Council will be projecting Red Ribbon Mandalas by Sahil Kitchell on to the William Jolly Bridge from 27 November–1 December 2019, from 5:30–10pm each night. Sahil Kitchell is a graphic designer and artist who has worked with World AIDS Day for 8 years. Ribbon Mandalas re-invents the iconic red ribbon of World AIDS Day, transforming it from a lone ribbon to a more celebratory design of multiple ribbons side by side. Symbolising the supportive community, we are building on, so that no one is alone in the struggle with HIV/AIDS. We can now look forward to a time when we are free of stigma and discrimination and celebrate the leaps we have made since the first World AIDS Day 30 years ago.
