Armidale’s annual Christmas in the Mall celebration will light up Beardy Street Mall on Thursday 21 November.
Entertainers and a guest appearance by two of Santa’s reindeer will transform the mall with festive fun from 5pm and market stalls from 4pm, as Council partners with Armidale AM Rotary Club to hold the community event.
Reindeer Rudolph and Dasher will be special guests at the event, which this year is expanding along Beady Street and into Dangar Street as the celebration continues to grow in popularity.
“It’s wonderful to see this event so well supported by the community, as everyone comes together to celebrate the festive season,” Armidale Regional Council Mayor Simon Murray said.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity to support local businesses and do your gift shopping.”
The Guyra Christmas Party in Bradley Street will then be held on Friday 6 December at 5.30pm.
Council and the Rotary Club of Guyra are teaming up for the Guyra celebration, which includes the lighting of the town Christmas tree, market stalls, a visit by Santa and a school parade.
