Moranbah waste water manhole inspections - continuing and to be finalised by 31 Dec 2019

Residents are advised Council will continue its waste water manhole inspections throughout the township of Moranbah as part of its commitment to improve waste water removal service quality and delivery since work started in October this year. Work is expected to be complete by the end of December.

WHAT ARE WE DOING?

Council has engaged contractor Relining Solutions to undertake manhole inspections in the township. The inspection process involves possible excavation locating the manhole lids, visual inspection inside the manhole.

WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?

To minimise disruption to households these works will be undertaken:

Between 8.30am – 5pm Monday to Saturday

WHAT TO EXPECT

Council will be working closely with our contractor to minimise any impacts of this work on your daily routine. There is a possibility that there may be some noise if the manhole is buried or has difficult access. If there is a manhole on your property a hand delivered notice of when your residence needs to be entered will be issued by hand 2 days prior to any inspections being conducted on your property. To ensure the safety of all people, appropriate signage will be in place, where necessary.

REPORT A PROBLEM We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience and understanding as this important work is carried out to maintain the quality of your waste water removal and treatment network. If residents have any excavations from the manhole inspections with barricading that have not been filled in or any other concerns please report it to Council’s Customer Service Centre available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 1300 ISAACS (1300 472 227) so that it can be investigated and resolved.
