The City of Ballarat Youth Services team is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic young people to join Youth Council next year.  

The Youth Council is made up of young people aged 12 to 25 years who are passionate about being involved in their community and representing the views, ideas and needs of young people in the Ballarat area. 

Participants develop youth-led projects, campaigns and advocate for young people in the Ballarat region. 

They also build skills in areas such as project management, cultural competency, and media and communication, and are given unique opportunities to develop their leadership skills. 

To apply, applicants need to: 

be aged between 12 and 25 years  live, work or study in the City of Ballarat  be able to attend at least 80 per cent of the weekly meetings, and  be able to attend training sessions and events.
