The City of Ballarat is celebrating the installation of three new ball courts with free after-school basketball sessions this week.
As part of the celebrations, the community is invited to participate in the free YMCA Drop-In Basketball program sessions at the courts in Mount Pleasant, Wendouree and Miners Rest today, tomorrow and Thursday.
The works, funded by the City of Ballarat, feature two new courts at Mount Pleasant Reserve and Montgomery Street in Wendouree while the Miners Rest court has been refurbished. The new courts were installed following community consultation as part of the City of Ballarat’s Engaging Communities Program.
Come and play basketball on the new courts:
Today, Tuesday 19 November, from 3.30-5.30pm at Mount Pleasant Reserve, corner Morton and Humffray Streets, Mount Pleasant Tomorrow, Wednesday 20 November, from 3.30-5.30pm at Montgomery Street Reserve, corner Montgomery and Eustace Streets, Wendouree Thursday, 21 November, from 3.30-5.30pm at Miners Rest Community Park, Albert Street, Miners Rest.
