Burnie City Council has endorsed the idea of a Community Health and Wellbeing Information Hub and is providing support to assist and promote its formation.
In presenting this initiative to Council Councillor Bulle said “It is envisaged that a Community Health and Wellbeing information resource centre housed in the Burnie CBD will be established to provide health information and assistance to health consumers.”
Burnie City Council Mayor Steve Kons said “The formation of such a Hub would contribute to our inclusive and healthy community which is consistent with Making Burnie 2030 - the community’s plan for the future.”
Residents of Burnie are invited to participate in an information and planning session to learn about and provide suggestions on the proposed development of a Hub in Burnie.”
The information and planning session will be held on Wednesday 27 November 2019 from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm at the Braddon Hall, Burnie Arts and Function Centre, Wilmot Street, Burnie.
Following this, participants will be asked to expression an interest to be a part of the Steering Committee for the Hub.
