Works will start in the coming weeks on a development to improve the playground at Woodend Kindergarten.
The $508,000 project will see an upgrade of the outdoor play space thanks to contributions from the Woodend Kindergarten Committee, Council and the Victorian Government.
The project team, including parents and educators, have been involved in developing the detailed designs for the playground, which aim to deliver an inclusive space where children can explore, play and investigate with the use of natural elements.
Preliminary works will start in term four, with construction likely to start over the Christmas holidays and continue into term one next year. Council will aim to minimise disruption to children and families accessing the service during the works.
It is anticipated the upgrade works will be completed by April 2020.
