Transformation - Women's Digital Media Workshops

Do you have an interest in storytelling? Want to gain skills in making films and photography? Like to create a digital story? Or engage communities on important issues? These workshops would be perfect for you.

Phoenix Eye films in partnership with Auburn Youth Centre will be running free, 5 day workshops for women who live, work or study in the Cumberland Local Government Area. These hands-on workshops are designed for participants who are interested in the digital arts - from storytelling to film making.

Over the course of the workshops, you will learn about:

Creating films, Concept development Scriptwriting Storyboarding, Cameras, lighting, and sound recording Post-production. What will the outcomes be?

You'll be engaging with the medium of digital stories under the guidance of local film industry professionals. In doing so, you'll learn skills to become a confident and creative leader in your community. The workshop will conclude with a public screening to be launched in early 2020 and you'll be fully supported with equipment with resources to create your art piece.

About the organisers

Phoenix Eye is a Western Sydney-based female-led film and media collective of multidisciplinary artists from culturally diverse backgrounds.
