Gannawarra Shire Council, Mallee Sports Assembly and CVGT will celebrate International Day of People with Disability on Tuesday, 3 December with a free community celebration.
In what has become an annual highlight for the Gannawarra, this year’s event will be held at the Kerang Golf Club from 11am to 1pm.
“Held annually on 3 December, International Day of People with Disability is a United Nations approved day that aims to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people living with a disability and celebrate their achievements and contributions,” Mayor Lorraine Learmonth said.
A range of fun activities and games will be held on the day, with numerous lucky door prizes to be handed out to attendees.
A free barbecue lunch and light refreshments will be available during the event.
“If you are living with a disability, know someone living with a disability or just want to come along to help celebrate the day, Council, Mallee Sports Assembly and CVGT would love to see you there,” Mayor Learmonth said.
