The City of Ballarat is working to identify and protect native vegetation and improve bio-diversity throughout the east of Ballarat – and is seeking community involvement.
The Living Corridors Action Plan will aim to improve the natural environment for generations to come.
Protection of Living Corridors in Eastern Ballarat is a key action in the Ballarat Strategy, and has been identified by the community as a priority for implementation of the Ballarat East Local Area Plan and for emerging projects including Brown Hill Local Area Plan and Buninyong Township Plan.

Community Working Group
The City of Ballarat is seeking to establish a Community Working Group to be involved in guiding the Action Plan. Members of the Community Working Group will play an active role in scoping the Living Corridors Action Plan and identifying goals, strategies and actions. The group will meet 3 times, for two hours each meeting, over the next six months.
Interested residents, landowners, environment groups, agencies, authorities and students and other interested individuals, particularly those who work or live in east Ballarat, are encouraged to submit an Expression of Interest to become a member of the Community Working Group.
