Lake Morris Road lookout upgrade

An upgrade to the Lake Morris Road lookout will include a new viewing platform shelter and safety improvements for cyclists and pedestrians.

The lookout platform and shelter will extend over the embankment giving residents and tourists a stunning panoramic view over the city.

Included in the $478,425 upgrade are new balustrading, interpretative signage, seating, parking and solar CCTV security.

A new gate system will allow Council to close the roadway to traffic while providing safe access to the upper part of the road and Lake Morris to cyclists and pedestrians.
