Temporary Closure of Glen Davis Landfill

Lithgow City Council wishes to advise the temporary closure of Glen Davis Landfill on Monday 2nd December 2019 to allow waste compaction and covering to take place safely.

The temporary closure is necessary to allow the safe use of large machinery to place, compact and cover the waste.

Residents affected may use the Capertee landfill, Portland landfill or Lithgow Solid Waste Facility on the day of scheduled works to ensure there is minimal inconvenience.

The Glen Davis facility will re-open on Tuesday 3rd December and residents are reminded that waste will then be placed in a skip bin located in the same tipping area.
