Customers enjoy earlier opening hours at Cooma, Jindabyne Landfills

Snowy Monaro residents and commercial customers are taking advantage of earlier opening times at the Cooma and Jindabyne Landfills.
The operating hours of both landfills were extended at the start of November with each site now accepting customers from 9.30am on weekdays.
Following increased patronage at both landfills, Snowy Monaro Regional Council resolved to extend the weekday opening hours to ensure the community has a greater opportunity to use each facility.
Customers of the Cooma and Jindabyne Landfills are enjoying more convenient weekday disposal times with each site opened between 9.30am and 4.30pm.
Customers are reminded that commercial waste will not be accepted after 4pm.
The extended operating hours are:
Cooma Landfill Monday to Friday: 9:30am – 4:30pm (Commercial waste acceptance ends at 4pm) Saturday: 1pm – 5pm Sunday: 11:00am – 5pm
Jindabyne Landfill Monday to Friday: 9:30am – 4:30pm (Commercial waste acceptance ends at 4pm) Saturday: 10am – 3pm Sunday: 10am – 3pm
Please be advised there may be times when the landfill disposal area will be closed to the public. During these times you will be directed by staff to dispose of your waste at another suitable location within the landfill site.
