Explore your reading experience with Crime, Coffee and Cake

Sunraysia residents are invited to a night of Crime, Coffee and Cake as part of a very special event at Mildura Library next month.

Crime, Coffee and Cake is a chance for residents to participate in a crime fiction community read by reading one or both of the following two novels by best-selling author Sally Hepworth and then meeting up at Mildura Library for a group discussion about the books.

The Mother-in-Law

The Family Next Door

The discussion night will be held on Thursday 12 December at 7pm at the Mildura Library and is a great opportunity for local bookworms to catch-up with like-minded readers to discuss their take on the novels.

Councillor for Arts and Culture Jason Modica encouraged residents who enjoy their reading to get involved.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for residents to meet new people while expanding their reading experience,” Cr Modica said.

“Each of us takes something different from reading a story and this is a magic way to share experiences with others and listen to different interpretations of the same novel.”

Crime, Coffee and Cake is a free event and, as the name suggests, will include complementary coffee and cake.

Both books are available from Council’s libraries.

People interested in taking part in this free event should visit their local library now and asked for either of the two featured books. Bookings for the discussion night on Thursday 12 December are also encouraged. To make a booking contact the Mildura Library on (03) 5018 8350.
