New Water main Construction, Cut overs

Change to Traffic conditions as cut overs of mains will be undertaken in Bridge Street, Lithgow on the 4th, 5th and 9th of December 2019.

Council will be undertaking the cut overs and final mains construction in the Bridge Street area on the 4th 5th and 9th of December as night works. This work will involve the shutting down feeder mains in Bridge Street between Tank Street and Mort Street. No interruptions to water supply should be experienced during this time. During the time while cut ins and mains works are being undertaken traffic control management will be in place to direct traffic and protect workers.

The section of Bridge Street between Mort Street and Railway Parade will be closed during these times on the 4th. The intersection and roads from the Bridge Street overrail bridge to Union Lane will be shut on the 5th and 9th. All works will have traffic control and detours in place whilst the work is undertaken

The water mains renewal project is looking to be completed and finalized prior to Council’s Christmas shutdown.
