Nichols Point residents are being asked for their thoughts and ideas on the future of the town’s historic rotunda.
The more-than-100-year-old rotunda, located next to the Nichols Point Primary School, was the subject of a determined community campaign to save the historic structure in 2015 after it was earmarked for demolition by the Victorian Government.
With the structure’s future now guaranteed, Council is keen to hear the community’s views on how the rotunda and surrounding area can be used.
Residents can provide their thoughts in person at the following consultation sessions.
Friday 13 December: 8.30am – 10am (convenient for parents dropping off children at the neighbouring Nichols Point Primary School)
Saturday 14 December: 9am – 10.30am.
Council staff will be at each session to discuss and take down residents’ views, as well as answer any questions they may have.
