Gannawarra Shire Council has released session details for its 2020 Immunisation Program.
Sessions will be held at the Cohuna Maternal and Child Health Centre and the Gannawarra Shire Children’s Centre in Kerang from Wednesday, 15 January 2020.
Mayor Lorraine Learmonth said that sessions are scheduled for the first and third Wednesdays of the month at times that are accessible for young families.
“Council’s immunisation sessions are well supported by the community and ensure that children are able to receive their scheduled vaccinations on time to protect against vaccine preventable diseases,” Mayor Learmonth said.
“All sessions are open to the pubic regardless of where you live and no appointments are necessary for scheduled childhood vaccinations. Adult immunisations should be pre-booked with Council.”
Immunisation sessions are held at the Gannawarra Shire Children’s Centre on the first Wednesday of the month from 10.30am to 12 noon, as well as on the third Wednesday of the month between 4pm and 5.30pm.
Sessions at the Cohuna Maternal and Child Health Centre are held on the third Wednesday of the month from 10.30am to 12 noon.
“Please note that there will be no morning immunisation session held on Wednesday, 1 January 2020 due to the New Year’s Day public holiday,” Mayor Learmonth said.
Immunisation sessions are advertised in Council’s fortnightly Gannawarra News publication and via Council’s Facebook page, with all dates listed online at www.gsc.vic.gov.au/immunisation
