Water meter reads across Isaac - December and January

Isaac Regional Council’s water meter readers will soon begin meter readings to measure the consumption for upcoming water notices.

To help ensure the charges are accurate, efficient and reliable, the manual water meter read project will take place across Isaac between the hours of:

6am to 6pm Monday, 16 December 2019 to Friday, 10 January 2020 The program will not be operating during public holidays and weekends

This is in preparation for the water notices to be issued for the period of July 2019 to December 2019.

This notice is expected to be sent to ratepayers in February 2020.

All meter-reading contractors will carry official Council identification. Authorisation to undertake the water meter reads is under Section 37 of the Water Supply (Safety and Reliability) Act 2008.

Council encourages the use of MiWater, a website where residents can sign up to receive water consumption information.

Residents can set email and SMS alerts and be notified of water leaks and high consumption within days of occurrence, see www.isaac.qld.gov.au/miwater for more details.
