Bushland Reserves, Walking Tracks, Lookouts 

Please be advised, Council has closed further reserves in response to current fire conditions: 

BLACKHEATH Bushland and walking tracks are closed to the public at:

Pulpit Rock Reserve Popes Glen Reserve near Douglas/Twin Falls Road (off Hat Hill Road) Reserve near Ridgewell/Bettington Roads Bettington Road and Robb Avenue

FAULCONBRIDGE Bushland and walking tracks are closed to the public at:

Reserve near the end of Hillcrest Avenue Tom Hunter Park – the toilets and oval are open

HAZELBROOK Bushland and walking tracks are closed to the public at:

Horseshoe Falls Reserve – the park and playground are open Waterhouse Park

KATOOMBA Bushland and walking tracks are closed to the public at:

Mike Eades Reserve Minnehaha Reserve - the park and playground are open Bonnie Doon Reserve Therabault Lookout Cahills Lookout Peckmans Lookout Landslide Lookout Cyclorama Point Malaita Point Eaglehawk Lookout Access to the Jamison Valley

Echo Point remains open to public access.

Cathedral of Ferns Campground and walking tracks Chinamans Hat/Pheasants Cave Loop Happy Valley and Waterfall Reserve walking tracks Wynns Rock and Du Faurs Rock Lookouts are closed to the public.

Reserve near View Road Water Nymphs Dell Reserve near Somme and Walker Streets Reserve near Henderson Road (east)

WOODFORD Bushland and walking tracks are closed to the public at:

Bulls Camp – the toilets and rest area are open

YELLOW ROCK Bushland and walking tracks are closed to the public at:

Reserve near Long Angle Road  

National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) has extensive closures in area. Go to the National Parks website or call the NPWS Heritage Centre on 4787 8877 for more information.

Road closures Megalong Road, Megalong Valley Bells Line of Road – between Darling Causeway and Skyline Road – is currently closed. Motorists are advised to use the Great Western Highway.   Cliff Drive, Katoomba – between Acacia St and Violet St – is closed.  Roads may be closed without warning.  Follow the direction of emergency services personnel in these areas.
