Waste Water Treatment Plant remediation works appr

Remediation works at three of Council’s Waste Water Treatment Plants (WWTP) will be completed within the next three year to ensure their continued safe, efficient and cost effective operation.

A $4 million contract to for remediation works at the Northern WWTP (Areoglen), Southern WWTP (Woree) and Marlin Coast WWTP (Yorkeys Knob) was awarded to NQ Engineering & Fabrication Pty Ltd.

The works follow assessments of the three plants undertaken by consultants in 2017/18.

Works at the Northern and Southern WWTP is to be completed by 30 June 2021, and at the Marlin Coast WWTP by 30 June 2022.
