Hyper is returning in March 2020 in the form of two events, Drug Aware On the House and Drug Aware Hyper.
After a hiatus in 2019, the Hyper team has refreshed the format to two standalone events with a focus on top tier artists in a more intimate setting.
The new Drug Aware On the House event is free entry and will be held on Friday, March 13, 2020, between 6 – 10pm.
As the prologue and introduction to the main festival, the new event will feature five WA based live artists and 15 DJs in the silent disco.
Drug Aware Hyper will be back on Saturday, March 14, 2020, between 2 – 9pm.
With the low entry fee of $25, attendees can see performances from artists based around the country, including nine live acts and 21 DJs.
The line-up for the two events will be announced in early January, with tickets for Hyper also going on sale.
The events will be held in the Locale event space on the corner of Cale Street and The Crescent, Midland.
City of Swan Mayor Kevin Bailey said the City is delighted to share that Perth’s best all-ages festival is back for a blockbuster edition next year.
“Hyper attendees will also be able to enjoy a market, live art battles, gourmet food vans, a photo booth, adventure golf, games, merchandise and a signing tent for all of your favourite artists,” he said.
Midland/Guildford Ward Councillor Ian Johnson said the City has carefully considered community feedback and is now ready to deliver a stellar festival.
“The Hyper team reliably sources the best local and national talent, so attendees can be guaranteed a great day out at a very reasonable price point,” he said.
The festival, presented by Drug Aware and supported by Lotterywest and Moshtix, is an all-ages drug, smoke and alcohol free event.
Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
