Thousands of sheep are set to go under the hammer at Kyneton Saleyards next week during the annual First Cross ewe sale.
The highly anticipated event, being held at Kyneton Saleyards on Thursday 19 December at noon, brings together sellers from the Macedon Ranges and neighbouring shires.
It is anticipated that up to five thousand head of sheep will be sold – in line with the last annual sale held in January 2019. This equates to more than $1 million in sales.
Council is reminding motorists that there will be a significant increase in traffic around the saleyards.
