Lithgow Mayor Ray Thompson today welcomed MP Paul Toole’s announcement that the Lithgow community is to receive $270,000 for the construction of the Farmers Creek Shared Cycleway.

Mr Toole advised that the funding, under the NSW Governments Infrastructure Grants program, will include “two creek bridges, 850 metres of shared cycleway and 732 metres of off road pathway.

“ This funding will help improve the quality of life for our community and will assist in developing further potential for tourism in our area, in addition to great accessibility to sporting and recreation facilities” said Mayor Thompson.

“Lithgow Council acknowledges that grant funds such as these are made possible by the ClubGrants Category 3 Fund which allocates profits from registered clubs into community infrastructure projects” said the Mayor
