Comment on plans to upgrade Spearwood pump track

The City wants your input on a draft concept which includes improvements for all skill levels, such as three intermediate jumps plus a b-line for those less experienced to practice and develop jumping skills safely before progressing.

The track layout at the reserve’s south-east corner has been developed with input from local off-road and BMX bike riders as a one-way directional track including a start point, three intermediate skill level jumps and a conventional pump track including berms and rollers.

Existing trees will provide a shaded spectator zone and informal seating with salvaged log seats is proposed near the track.

The track will be built from durable materials and include limestone boulders for retaining the higher track edges and also providing informal hang out locations.

The new track will be the fifth established in the City in recent years.
