Public art commission - EOIs invited
Bayside City Council 17 Dec 2019

We have collated your feedback and now Bayside City Council is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from artists to submit preliminary ideas for a public artwork/s that will enhance and respond to the redevelopment of Elsternwick Park (South).

Elsternwick Park is a major metropolitan passive and active open space of some 36.7ha in area located to either side of Bent Avenue in the northern portion of the City of Bayside.

Art located in public spaces has the ability to engage people in their everyday lives and provides an opportunity for dialogue and social interaction in many ways.

The work should be inspiring, interesting and engaging and any interactive elements should take into account public safety. In developing their concepts artists should consider the community and visitors to the area as well as the location of the work.

Up to three artists will be short-listed and invited to participate in a Request for Tender (RFT) process to further develop their ideas for the Public Art Evaluation Panel.

EOI due 24 January 2020
