This year has been filled with many great achievements throughout our Shire and we should be proud of the efforts from our community and businesses who make our Shire a great place to live. I would encourage you to buy local to support our local businesses to ensure our economy remains strong in the Shire.
As a partner in the Road Ribbon for Road Safety initiative, we invite you to join us in committing to improving road safety in our community and spreading this message ahead of a busy season on our roads.
Around this time of year, it is also important to acknowledge that there are people who may need assistance and I encourage you to support those in need through the many charitable organisations in our Shire.
This year we had many highlights which have enhanced our community and brought people together. The opening of the Yarloop Community Centre was a great milestone in rebuilding the town. Our two major agricultural shows in Brunswick and Harvey reflected the strength of our community and showcased our wonderful Shire. The completion of the Ridley Place Foreshore Path has enhanced our foreshore and is the first milestone in future development for the area which is currently underway. I thank you for being part of our community and I wish you a Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year and I look forward to exciting, prosperous times ahead in the Shire of Harvey.
