New Year's Eve fireworks

Various locations along the river Tuesday, December 31, 2019, 8:30pm – Wednesday, January 1, 2020, 12:10am We're creating more to see and do across the city this New Year's Eve with a fireworks display along the Brisbane River that will be bigger and better than ever before! A spectacular light show will set the night alight from barges at South Bank, Eagle Street Pier, Howard Smith Wharves and Portside Wharf. There will be two fireworks shows – one at 8.30pm for families and one at midnight for late-night revellers welcoming in the New Year in style. Celebrate one of the biggest events of the year by securing a spot at one of the many vantage points on offer, including: • South Bank Parklands • Portside Wharf • Howard Smith Wharves • Eagle Street Pier • Riverside Centre • Waterfront Place • Kangaroo Point Cliffs • Captain Burke Park • Wilson Outlook Reserve. Plan ahead for road closures and arrive early to get a good view of the fireworks.
