Garbage & Recycling Services over the Christmas & New Year Period

No changes to garbage and recycling collection this Festive Season

Lithgow Council has advised that garbage and recycling collections will occur as normal during the Christmas & New Year period.

“The garbage and recycling collection service will occur as normal throughout the Christmas break and all residents should put their bins out as usual” said Lithgow City Council Mayor, Councillor Ray Thompson.

“Also, whilst enjoying the Christmas break don’t forget to recycle any glass, aluminium cans, cardboard & wrapping paper you might have by placing them in your bin with the yellow lid but please do not place plastic shopping bags in this bin as they cannot be recycled” concluded Mayor Thompson.
