Tarana Water Supply is a non-potable supply servicing the Tarana village by pumping water from the Fish River. The Fish River this week has ceased to flow and Lithgow City Council will be supplementing flow to the reservoir via water tankers.

The tankers will be providing non-potable water to the community when required to maintain the supply works. Lithgow City Council would like to remind all users of the water supply to remain conscious of the low water supply and to conserve water where possible. Tankers may not be available immediately to supply the reservoir due to the requirement for firefighting water supply across the LGA.

Lithgow City Council would like to thank the residents of Tarana for their understanding in this matter and their effort to conserve water into the future.
