Four weeks of free active and craft-related school holiday fun will occur at library branches throughout the Gannawarra from Friday, 3 January 2020. The Gannawarra Library Service will revisit some of its favourite craft activities during events at the Cohuna and Leitchville libraries, the Quambatook Community Resource Centre and Kerang’s Sir John Gorton Library. “Children and their families are encouraged to keep cool whilst visiting their local library and experience a number of activities that were popular in past years,” Gannawarra Library Service Manager, Kerri Sidorow said. “Whether it is making koi fish, superhero capes or experiencing the fun of CleverClay, children will be able to have fun at our free craft tables.” Meanwhile, children and their grandparents will be able to take part in special Grandparents and Mini Movers! sessions occurring at the Cohuna Community Meeting Room and the Sir John Gorton Library. “Children aged three to 12 years are encouraged to come along with their grandparents for a 30-minute, multi-generational active session,” Mrs Sidorow said. “It is important that no matter our age, we aim to complete at least 30 minutes of physical activity each day, and what better place to do this than at your local library.” All events hosted by the Gannawarra Library Service are free, with children needing to be accompanied by an adult. Details on all events are available at Gannawarra Library Service branches and online at www.gsc.vic.gov.au/events Gannawarra Library Service school holiday program Cohuna Library/Cohuna Community Meeting Room Tuesday, 7 January – 10.30am-11am: Grandparents and Mini Movers!
