Council wish to advise residents that David Street in Dandenong will be undergoing scheduled road maintenance works between Cleeland Street and Stud Road commencing 13 January 2020.
Proposed works Replace defective kerb and channel including driveway laybacks; Drainage improvements; Road repairs and resurfacing.Works will commence with kerb, driveway and drainage repair work on the south side of the street (opposite side to Dandenong Hospital). It is anticipated this stage will take three weeks to complete, subject to satisfactory weather conditions.
While driveway entrances are being removed, temporary vehicle access will be provided. To minimise disruptions, final reinstatement of driveways will generally be completed out of normal business hours on Saturdays with access fully restored the following Monday morning.
Once all works are completed on the south side of the street, repairs to the kerbs and drains will commence on the north side (Dandenong Hospital side).
Following completion of all the kerb and drainage work the road will be repaired and resurfaced. All road repair and resurfacing works will be completed during nightshifts around late March/early April 2020.
How will these works impact the community? Traffic management crews on site controlling traffic and protecting works crews; No street parking in the works area; Reduced speed limit throughout the entire works period; Priority access/right of way will be given to all emergency service vehicles during the works.The community will be notified of the works prior to commencing.
