The funeral service for long-time Bassendean State Emergency Service volunteer Gordon Munday takes place on Friday 3 January at the Bowra and O'Dea Chapel at 131 Great Eastern Highway from 3pm.
Mr Munday, a highly respected volunteer with more than 25 years service, died after a short illness on 23 December.
He was a Local Manager of the Bassendean SES Unit and a past SESVA Committee member.
Mr Munday has always been held in high regard and well respected by SES Volunteers and those he worked with in the emergency services sector. He coached and mentored many SES volunteers and will be sadly missed by all.
Attendees at the funeral are asked to wear something orange - be it a tie, ribbon or flower - in recognition of the SES.
