An exciting opportunity exists for a permanent full time Electrician to join our Engineering and Infrastructure Directorate, ideally in Moranbah however there is potential for the preferred candidate to be based elsewhere in the Isaac region should they desire. 

Reporting to the Team Leader Trades Services, this position is responsible for the electrical maintenance and construction of Council Assets. 

The successful candidate will have:

Demonstrated experience as an Electrician, preferably in local government; Knowledge of and familiarity with relevant Electrical Safety Acts and Electrical Safety Regulations; Relevant licensing for trade; Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills; General induction card; and A current C Class Open Australian driver’s licence.

For this position we offer:

Base Salary $54,467.12 per annum + Additional Market Loading which will be discussed with proposed candidates; Nominally 38 hours per week; 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading; 12% super in accordance with Council policy; RDO’s (nine-day fortnight) in accordance with Council policy; Tool of trade vehicle; Housing allowance of $100 per week.
