Free pool activities

Lachlan Shire Council, through its pool operators, will be hosting free recreational activities at its community swimming pools in the upcoming weeks.

Condobolin pool will extend its opening hours on hot days (over 38 degrees) by 30 minutes, commencing immediately. They will also make the inflatable slide available for swimmers on six more afternoons this summer, with dates to be confirmed.

Lake Cargelligo pool will be holding a pool party on January 18. Entry to this event will be free and includes use of the 25m-long inflatable slide. The party runs from 2pm-6pm with music and a free snow cone for each child. There will be a free BBQ dinner from 5pm consisting of rissole and sausage sandwiches, plus a refreshing drink per person.

At Tottenham pool, the operators will allow two full days of free swimming, including use      of the inflatable slide. This will take place on January 18 and 19. Australia Day celebrations at Tottenham pool will also include free entry and a BBQ.

These activities have been made possible after Council obtained $10,000 funding from the NSW program “Drought Stimulus - Regional School Holiday Activities”.
