Ten subsidised scholarships available to learn what it takes to succeed online in the new decade

Ten lucky local businesses or startups will get the exciting opportunity to work with one of the world’s most effective master marketing online training providers and gain a Digital Marketing Certification as part of a subsidised scholarship.
The partnership project between Livingstone Shire Council and Advance Queensland will provide recipients access to the online course which aims to help participants master a range of skills, including content marketing, customer acquisition, email marketing, social media and testing and optimisation.
Course facilitator and Rockhampton local, Katie Joy, followed the traditional path of university but says her most valuable skills were learned outside of formal education.
"Mastering digital marketing has given me the flexible lifestyle I need as a single mum raising two young boys. As a business owner today we all need to understand how to navigate the online eco-system and amplify our message,” Katie said.
"It can be so overwhelming and hard to know where to start. That's why I decided to facilitate world-class digital marketing education for business owners. We can help people go from overwhelmed and confused to clear and confident, knowing exactly what to execute next to make their business grow.”
Deputy Mayor and Council’s Digital Economy and Innovation Champion Councillor Nigel Hutton said the training on offer is trusted by over 126,000 marketers and companies like Uber, Infusionsoft and Shopify.
“Livingstone Shire Council and Advance Queensland are committed to building innovation on the Capricorn Coast and I strongly encourage local businesses, and or startups to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity,” Cr Hutton said.
To be eligible for a subsidised scholarship you will need to explain in 250 words or less how you will transform your business through the Digital Entrepreneur programme.
Digital Entrepreneur is supporting Livingstone Shire Council and Advance Queensland build local business digital capability with a special offer of $1990 for the entire certification program (value of over $7,000).
Livingstone Shire Council and Advance Queensland are offering $1000 subsided scholarships to ten local businesses and or startups. Successful applicants will need to pay the balance ($990).
