Central West Local Land Services is currently offering grants of between $1000 and $5000 to help community groups build resilience through protecting and preserving natural resources and cultural heritage.
The Central West Local Land Services Resilient Communities program aims to empower local communities to bounce back and adapt to the impacts of adverse conditions.
Applications must meet one or more project priorities and demonstrate the delivery of natural resource, sustainable land and Cultural Heritage outcomes whilst increasing community resilience and capacity.
Grants will be assessed on a competitive basis and be accepted from incorporated community groups of the Central West region.
Project priorities are to improve community resilience with a focus on:
• Improving soil health;
• Supporting and protecting native vegetation and terrestrial habitat;
• Protecting and rehabilitating aquatic ecosystems;
• Protecting or preserving Cultural Heritage values in line with the Local Land Services Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan; and
• Maintaining or improving native plants or animal species populations
Applications must be completed online by 14th February 2020, and will be assessed against the eligibility and assessment criteria.
