New Water main Construction, Cut overs

Change to Traffic conditions as mains construction will be undertaken in Bridge Street, Lithgow from the 20th to the 31st of January 2020.

Council will be undertaking final mains construction in the Bridge Street area from the 20th to the 31st of January as starting from approximately 6:00am. This work will involve the installing approximately 30 metres of 450mm feeder main in Bridge Street between Tank Street and Mort Street.

The final cutins of the two 450mm connections and one 150mm connection in Main Street will be undertaken on the 23rd of January during the night to reduce the impact on residents and businesses that may be effected. Residents may experience interruptions to water supply during this time. During the time while cut ins and mains works are being undertaken traffic control management will be in place to direct traffic and protect workers.

Some sections of Bridge Street between Mort Street and Union Lane will be closed during these times from the 20th to the 31st of January. The intersection and roads from the Bridge Street over rail-bridge to Union Lane will be shut at various times to complete these works. All works will have traffic control and detours in place whilst the work is undertaken
