Enjoy Australia Day at Koshigaya Park

The community is invited to come together for an evening of delicious food, Australiana themed demonstrations, live bands and free carnival rides on Australia Day.

Koshigaya Park is the venue between 4pm and 9pm and promises to be great fun for the whole family, with a range of entertainment for kids including face painting and hair braiding, bouncing ‘roos, sheep shearing, whip cracking, a large inflatable slide and more.

The achievements of Campbelltown residents will be celebrated at a civic ceremony at the Greg Percival Community Centre in Ingleburn at 9am where the Citizen of the Year and other Australia Day Awards will be announced.

Several new Australians will receive their citizenship at a ceremony afterwards.

 “Australia Day in Campbelltown is always a fantastic family event for our community,” Mayor George Brticevic said.

“So come down and settle in for a great evening of fun, food and rides while enjoying the atmosphere of live music in the park,” Cr Brticevic said.

“I’d also encourage people to join us in celebrating the achievements of some of our outstanding citizens who will be honoured with this year’s Australia Day Awards at the civic ceremony,” he said.

Due to the ongoing bushfires across the region and NSW, the annual fireworks display has been cancelled this year.

Temporary road closures will be in place in the vicinity of Koshigaya Park between 3pm and 10pm.
