The Hon Damien Tudehope, Minister for Small Business and the Hon Paul Toole, Minister for Regional Roads and Transport met with Mayor Ray Thompson and Deputy Mayor Steve Ring in Lithgow last Wednesday to listen first hand to the issues for those affected by the recent bushfires in Lithgow with a view to responding with further assistance.

“The Minister for Small Business heard directly from Lithgow on the issues facing our retail and tourism sectors, and it is pleasing to see a response within 24 hours of that visit from the NSW Government, advising of the expansion of the “Buy Regional” campaign to help fire affected businesses in our area, and the introduction of the “one stop shop” at Service NSW (www.service.nsw.gov.au) for information on all assistance available for those of our residents affected by the bushfire emergency” said Mayor Thompson.

“Business owners affected by the bushfire in the Lithgow LGA can register on the “Buy Regional” site at www.nsw.gov.au/buyregional and I would strongly urge all businesses affected to do so as soon as possible” said Deputy Mayor Steve Ring.
