RAINFALL totals across Mackay are expected to grow through the triple digits this week as two intensifying weather systems converge over Queensland.
The highest rainfall total in the state was recorded yesterday in Glenella where 185mm fell in 24 hours.
Other stations across the region including Golf Links, McCready's Creek and others also recorded falls more than 120mm.

Weather forecaster Higgins Storm Chasing said a tropical low moving east into North West Queensland would pull increasingly high levels of tropical moisture into the middle of the state.
This will combine with the monsoon trough which is intensifying between Bowen and Cardwell brining rainfall totals between 100mm and 300mm across Herbert and Lower Burdekin, North Tropical Coast, Peninsula, Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders, Gulf and North West districts.
"Possible" isolated falls as high as 900mm was also possible, Higgins Storm Chasing said.
Areas including Mackay, Moranbah, Emerald, Longreach to Boulia were expected get heavy rain.
Bureau of Meteorology Meteorologist Kimba Wong said showers and possible storms were expected across the Mackay region for at least the next week.
"There are a couple of showers coming onshore today," she said.
"This will continue through the day today and into the next couple of days with conditions easing this weekend into next week."
Miss Wong said residents should stay aware of a flood watch in place for the Burdekin River and catchments between Ingham and Mackay.
The bureau issued a flood watch for major river systems between Ingham and Mackay, with heavy rainfall expected in the coming days.
While major flooding was forecast for systems in the western areas, the Pioneer River was likely to be affected.
No flood warning was issued for the major Mackay river.
