Pomona Road Roundabout Upgrade

The roundabout at the Pomona Road and Tamar Rise intersection will be upgraded from next week, after the Tender was awarded at the December 2019 Council meeting.

The work includes an upgrade of existing roundabout, relocation of underground and above ground services, the realignment of kerb and channel, and footpath works. The project will also include road pavement reconstruction and landscaping.

The works scheduled for the site are significant and will be undertaken in a staged approach to minimise disruptions to traffic as much as possible. That said, traffic flow during the works will be reduced to one lane and some delays should be expected.  Local Resident access will remain throughout the project, please adhere to all traffic management signage and speed limit reductions during the course of the work. Construction noise and associated impacts can be expected between the hours of 7am to 6pm on weekdays.

Once construction is complete, the roundabout and surrounding area will support safer vehicle and pedestrian use and will be built to a high standard to service users for many years to come.
