Senior Liverpool residents can discover dance, tai chi and art making during Council’s packed events program for this year’s Seniors Festival.
“This year’s theme, ‘Love to Celebrate’ encourages all seniors to do just that,” Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller said.
“Our free activities provide an opportunity for our seniors to connect with, and celebrate, the people around them in some of Liverpool’s fantastic public facilities.”
All events and activities are free and will be held at Liverpool City Library branches, Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre and the Liverpool Regional Museum between Thursday 13 February and Friday 21 February.
“In Liverpool nearly one in five people are over the age of 55 and this festival is a way of acknowledging the important role that seniors play in our community,” Mayor Waller said.
“The seniors in our lives are invaluable sources of wisdom, providing knowledge and insight to future generations that builds on our collective achievements.”
