NSW Senior’s Week 2020

To celebrate NSW Senior’s Week this year Lithgow City Council will be providing free entry to all seniors to both the JM Robson Aquatic Centre and Portland Pool for the whole month of February. If you are 60 years or over, just present your seniors card or other ID at the front entrance of either pool from February 1st.

Senior’s week is an annual event during which the whole community celebrates the contributions of the older members of our community. It is an opportunity to provide specific information and opportunities that directly benefit seniors. Lithgow City Council have held events during Senior’s week for over a decade and this year is no exception.

“Swimming has huge benefits at any age but it’s particularly beneficial as we age,” says Mayor Ray Thompson. “It is good for our hearts, our joints, our general fitness and its fun. Come on down to your local pool!”
